ABOUT / THE SECOND EDITION

Forging a New World.

Bharat Summit 2026 is convened by Samruddha Bharat Foundation and the Government of Telangana at HICC, Hyderabad, from 12–14 November.

Policymakers, political leaders, business leaders, thinkers, activists and changemakers will explore how institutions, economic systems and international cooperation can respond to a changing world.

The programme combines high-level panels, plenary and valedictory sessions, closed-door roundtables and bilateral engagements. Media access will be specified separately for each opportunity.

Why this gathering matters: context & intended outcomes

A changing international landscape

The summit’s framing connects India’s global engagement with progressive movements, Global South priorities and the international political landscape following the US midterm elections.

India’s role in the world

Discussions will explore principled multilateralism, strategic autonomy, peaceful coexistence and democratic values, drawing on Afro-Asian solidarity and the Non-Aligned Movement.

Rahul Gandhi’s participation

The summit envisages engagements on constitutional democracy, inequality, social harmony, South–South cooperation and an inclusive global progressive agenda. Detailed formats and timings will be released when approved.

Building new platforms

Intended outcomes include a Global South–Global North platform and proposals for new Global South institutions. These are summit objectives, not announced achievements.

Representation across continents

The summit brings together perspectives across the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe, including political movements and current and former government figures. The final public directory is being compiled.

Political & institutional perspectives

The INC’s proposed foreign-policy framework, international partnerships and global convening role form part of the summit’s political context. Approved statements and speeches will be linked in the press room.
